EVERETT, WA: Kentucky Rain Band presents their 5th annual "A Night with Elvi" show Friday, October 11 at 7:30 pm at the Historic Everett Theatre. Proceeds will benefit the Everett Gospel Mission.
"We've had a lot of fun doing this show each year and being able to give back to the Everett Gospel Mission at the same time, and with our lineup this year, it's going to be one of the best shows yet," says Dallas Cooper of Kentucky Rain Band.
Legendary Northwest Elvis Tribute Artist Steve Adams will be the emcee for the evening Three accomplished Elvis Tribute Artists will be performing (Roger Anderson, Robbie Dee, and Bret Wiggins), all backed by Kentucky Rain Band. A silent auction will also be held.
About the performers:
Kentucky Rain Band is the Northwest’s #1 Elvis Tribute Artist & Rock-n-Roll Band. In 1993, Kentucky Rain Band was established by Elvis Tribute Artist Steve Adams and has since went on to perform with dozens of Elvis Tribute Artists in the Northwest. Kentucky Rain Band was also the house band for the Seattle Elvis Invitationals, the long-running annual "search for Seattle's best Amateur Elvis Impersonator."
Steve Adams:
Our Emcee for the show, Steve Adams, established Kentucky Rain Band in 1993 and together they toured the Northwest for many years, playing State Fairs, private parties, and other shows.
"We had a lot of fun, but one thing we consistently found is that wherever we are, whatever age group is present, people respond in a very positive, enthusiastic manner to the music of Elvis Presley. Elvis will always be the undisputed King of Rock and Roll!"
Bret Wiggins:
Bret has been performing as an Elvis Tribute Artist for the past 12 years. He has performed throughout the Northwest and Canada, and as far away as Shenzhen, China. "I truly hope my tribute to Elvis is authentic, respectful and most of all entertaining. I believe as an ETA that is our most important goal!" Bret resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife, Judy and their 3 boys.
Roger Anderson:
Roger was born with Elvis in his blood. As a child, he found Elvis to be not only a mentor and inspiration, but also a "friend." His fascination with the Elvis persona and unique singing style brought out his desire to sing and also perform. Residing in Bonney Lake, WA, Roger has been an Elvis Tribute Artist for 8 years, and still is moved by each performance. In addition to his talent for playing guitar and singing, he also shines his skill while playing drums, bass, ukulele and piano. He has also traveled around the U.S. and Canada and had the pleasure of performing with The Cadillac Kings, The Uptown Hornz, and The Blackwood Quartet among other great artists and groups.
Robbie Dee:
Robbie has been an Elvis fan ever since seeing the movie “Blue Hawaii” as a teenager growing up in Edmonds, Washington. He was moved by the music and legend of Elvis Presley. It wasn’t until he was an adult that Robbie took the stage for the first time. After some persuasion from friends, he sang “Viva Las Vegas” at a karaoke night. The audience went wild with chants of “Elvis, Elvis!” and Robbie was hooked. Ever since then, he's been performing Elvis music as frequently at various festivals, competitions, and other shows.
